have placed your order. This key code will give you access to the course
exam. To use the key code, go to the
HK Online Education Center
and click on the My Courses
button. You will be instructed to sign on with your email address and password.
- Click the Enter Key Code button on the My Courses screen. This
will take you to a new page where you must enter your key code exactly as
it is printed (including hyphens) on the letter you receive with your materials.
- After entering your key code, you will be asked to choose your organization
for credits. Use the dropdown list to choose your organization.
- The My Courses page will now be updated so that you may enter the exam
at any time.
- Once you have passed an exam, you may click the Exam Info link
on the My Courses page in order to either view the results from the exam,

Q. I haven't received my key code. What do I do?
When you purchase an Online Education Center course, you will receive
an email with your key code in approximately 2 or 3 business
days. The key codes are not sent until your financial institution
processes payment.
You do have immediate access to the course itself, but you will have
to wait for the key code in order to take the exam.
If it has been more than 3 business days since
ordering your course, please send an email to
keycodesupport@hkusa.com
Please include the following information:
- Name of person who placed the order
- Name and address of person who the order was shipped to
- Title of course(s) purchased
- Method of purchase: phone, online, or by mail
- Date you purchased the course
- Method of payment: credit card or personal check (please do not
send account information or credit card numbers; simply send method
of payment)
- Contact information: email address and telephone number

Q. I received an error message when I
entered my key code. What do I do?
Check and see if you have already entered your key code:
- Go to My Courses.
- Instead of clicking the course title to enter your course,
click on the Details link to the right of the title.
- Details gives you a summary of your course information and
exam. If it says there is no information for this course, then you have
not entered your key code yet and need to contact us for assistance.
However, if it shows the organization information, then the key code
has already been entered once. You enter your key code only one time
to activate the exam portion of your course.

Q. How long do I have to complete
the course?
All courses purchased after January 17, 2006, will expire 1 year
after the date of initial course access. Course exams must also be
completed within 1 year in order for you to receive course credit.
You will receive reminder emails when you have 6 months, 1 month,
1 week, and 1 day left.

Q. My online course or exam will not
come up. What do I do?
The online courses and exams come up in separate pop-up windows.
You will need to allow pop-ups for our website in order for the
course or exam to load on the browser window. If your system does
not allow pop-ups, you might receive error messages such as no
permissions or expirations. If you have more than one pop-up
blocker, you will need to allow our site on all of them. To bypass
a pop-up blocker, you can hold down the CTRL button on your keyboard
and then click Yes to enter the exam. Keep the CTRL button held down
until the pop-up exam fully loads, and then you can release it.

Q. How do I bypass the pop-up blocker?
To bypass a pop-up blocker on an Internet browser, you can hold
down the CTRL key on your keyboard and click the link to open the
window. Keep the CTRL key held down until the window fully loads.
Depending on your browser settings, the window may open in a
background window. You can minimize the front window to check
on this.

Q. Can I open my exam and then close it and
come back to finish later?
No. The OEC online exams are available only one time, and they are
timed exams. Once you enter the exam, the full exam must be completed
and submitted for grading. If you close the exam, you will not be able
to enter again, and all unanswered questions will be marked incorrect.

Q. How do I get my Online Education Center (OEC) certificate?
You can print your certificate, noting your success and the credits
you have earned, directly from our website. You just need to follow
these steps:
- Ensure that any pop-up blocker you might have on your computer is
turned off.
- Log in to the HK Online Education Center
again. Select the My Courses
page from the menu on the left.
- A list of the courses you have purchased will be displayed. Under
each title is a link called Exam Info. Click on this link.

your exam score.
- Click here to generate a certificate with your course
and exam results.
- Return to the My Courses area.
Click on the second of these.
- Two windows will open. The first will have directions for formatting
your certificate; the second will be the actual certificate. Follow

Q. What is the approved provider number for my organization?
This number is on the certificate you receive upon earning a passing
grade for the exam. If you do not see a provider number on your certificate
for the organizations NATA or NSCA, you most likely have an additional
pop-up blocker turned on.
- Go to Tools in your menu bar.
- Select Pop-Up Blocker Settings and choose the option that allows you
to accept pop-ups from this site (either temporarily or permanently).
- Once you choose this, refresh your screen and you will see the provider
number appear at the bottom of the certificate.
- You can proceed with printing your certificate.
If you do not see a provider number for your organization, and all of
your pop-up blockers have been disabled, then your organization probably
did not assign a provider number to Human Kinetics or your organization
did not require that we include a provider number on your course completion
certificate. You may proceed with printing your certificate and then submit
it to the organization from which you are seeking credit.

Q. In my course, there is a Primal
link to access Primal's website, but when I click on it, nothing
happens. What should I do?
You may have more than one pop-up blocker on your Internet browser.
When you go into the course and see the Primal link, before clicking
on it hold down the CTRL button on your keyboard and then click the
link; keep holding down that button until it fully loads. This is a
way to bypass the pop-up blocker.

Q. Exam questions aren't showing;
it's just a colored background. What do I do?
If you are taking an OEC exam and a colored background (such as
tan or blue) is coming up without test questions, this is most likely
due to your computer having Norton Internet Security enabled.
Norton released a recent update that writes script to web pages
visited; our exam page is secure and will not allow the script. This
feature from Norton will not allow the page to fully load. We are
currently examining the issue for a solution. To work around this
issue, please follow the instructions below, refresh your Internet
window, and try your test again:
Step 1: Log on using the Supervisor account.
- Start Norton Internet Security.
- In the Norton Internet Security window, in the left pane,
click User Accounts.
- After you are logged on to your account, it is displayed in
one of two ways:
- If you are logged on as Supervisor, go to To Turn On or Turn
Off Norton Internet Security. Skip down to step 2.
- If you are not logged on as Supervisor, continue with step 4.
- Click Log Off.
- In the Confirm dialog box, click Yes.
- Click Log On.
- In the Log On dialog box in the Account Name list, click Supervisor.
- In the Password field, type your password. If you have never
assigned a password to the Supervisor account, leave this field
blank.
- Click OK. You should see the text You are logged on as Supervisor.
Step 2: Turn on or turn off Norton Internet Security.
- In the left pane, click Status & Settings.
- Click Security.
- Click Turn On or Turn Off.

Q. When I log in, the page keeps looping back to a Reviewer login
page.
When you sign in to the OEC, there is a Submit button on the login
page. Under that button is a link: Reviewers Click Here to Log In.
If at some point the user accidentally clicks that link, the page gets
saved into memory and needs to be cleared; otherwise, the user will
keep looping to the Reviewer page, which the user will not have access
to, and the user will be unable to log in. To clear the page from
memory, all you have to do is delete Cookies and Internet Files from
your browser.
If you are using Internet Explorer, you will just go up to Tools
on the top toolbar in your browser window.
- Click on Internet Options. The General tab will come up on the
screen. In the center of this screen is the area you want to work in.
- In the center, you will see a button that states Delete Cookies.
You will want to click on this button. A prompt will come up asking
if you are sure; click OK.
- When this process is done, and it is done fairly quickly, you
will want to click the button right beside it that states Delete
Files. When the Are You Sure? prompt comes up, click OK.
This process will take just a little bit longer than the cookies,
but not too long.
- Then click the button at the bottom that says Clear History.
When this is finished, click OK to exit this box.
- You will then need to close out of all browser windows.
- Reopen Internet Explorer and try again.
Important Note: Do not use any old bookmarks
for the page or link. Instead, access the page through our main site,
www.HumanKinetics.com
or go directly to
www.hkeducationcenter.com and follow the links from there.
